The Supervisor Refresher Course is designed for experienced supervisors in the resources and infrastructure industries who are required to maintain currency of their competencies in line with industry and legislative requirements. This refresher supports ongoing compliance with the Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulation 2017 (Qld) and other applicable workplace health and safety obligations.

The target cohort for this refresher course includes experienced supervisors currently employed in the Resource and Infrastructure sectors who are required to maintain the validity of their statutory competencies in line with industry and legislative requirements.

Units that will be refreshed include:

  • RIIRIS301E Apply risk management processes
  • RIIWHS301E Conduct safety and health investigations
  • RIICOM301E Communicate information

Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) are not available for this refresher training due to industry regulations.

Entry Requirements

  • Students must possess the necessary language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) skills (ACSF Level 3) required to interpret and apply the relevant information effectively.
  • Students will be assessed to ensure they have the appropriate level of foundational skills necessary for the program.

  • Certified copies (if not issued by Col Joy Training Services) of Statements of Attainment for detailing Unit of Competency already completed
Failure to provide this evidence may delay your certification.
  • Photo identification - drivers licence, passport, proof of age card / photo card high risk work licence.
  • Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) number, if not already provided.

Please be advise if attending a course, you cannot park in Fursden Street.

Free off-street parking is available at 7 Brickworks Court, Glenella, 4740  located off Glenella Connection Road. Once you have secured a park the entrance to our building is locate between the blue and cream coloured building follow the signage through to reception for check in.
