Standard 11 Surface (RPL)
RIISS00034 Surface Coal Mine Safety Skill Set

This course is for those with previous Coal Mining experience and wish to have this experience recognised and achieve the units of competency for recognised Standard 11 Surface.

To achieve RPL, students must complete the Student Application Kit, ensuring you complete all sections within the kit.
This includes, but is not limited to, a self-assessment, employment details, and evidence collection tables

Units eligible for RPL include:

• RIIGOV201E Comply with site work processes/procedures
• RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
• RIICOM201E Communicate in the workplace
• RIIRIS201E Conduct local risk control
• RIIERR205D Apply initial response first aid
• RIIERR302E Respond to local emergencies and incidents

• Face-to-face
• Alternatively available via remote video conferencing.

Course Schedule
You will undergo RPL requirement testing on the day including:

• Challenge Test
• Practical tasks using appropriate equipment, observed by a Col Joy Training Services Assessor
• Competency conversation, verifying your experience and work examples

Things to bring with you

• A fully completed copy of the Student Application Kit.
• Photo identification - drivers licence, passport, proof of age card/photo card, high risk work licence
• Course appropriate clothing and footwear
• Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) number, if not already provided.
