ABOUT THE COURSE
This combined program is specifically designed to cover the skills and knowledge required to butt weld or electrofusion weld polyethylene (PE) plastic pipelines. It applies to welding undertaken in the field and in factory conditions. Pipelines may be for transmission of gas or liquid.
It applies to experienced operators who hold current certification for recertification or those who can complete a supplied supervisor report on their welding abilties and experience. You will be required to select welding parameters to be used, set up equipment, perform welding assess joints against specification and solve problems within the area of responsibility.

We can also incorporate FWPCOT2259 Cut materials with a hand-held saw (Chainsaw) if previously held and evidence supplied.
The outcomes achieved by including this unit of competency are as follows:
· Prepare and cut materials with a hand-held saw
· Materials will be polyethylene plastic pipeline
· Safely and efficiently use the hand-held saw
· Carry our routine maintenance
Course Requirements
Things to bring with you or have on the day of training:
All students will be required to create or obtain their personal USI. Certificates cannot be issued without this code.

Venue/Parking:
Our office front is located at 12 Fursden Street, Glenella, 4740.
Please be advised if attending a course, you cannot park in Fursden Street.
Free off-street parking is available at 7 Brickworks Court, Glenella, 4740 located off Glenella Connection Road. Once you have secured a park, the entrance to our building is located between the blue and cream coloured building follow the signage through to reception for check in.
Course Outcome:
Where you require the additional unit FWPCOT2259 Cut materials with a hand- held saw, the course will be an additional half day conducted on consecutive days. There is an additional cost of $140 (gst exempt) per person.

Once you have successfully completed the course, a Statement of Attainment will be issued and we will post the original to your home address and email a copy to you. This will occur within 10 working days.
