This refresher program is designed to meet industry requirements for maintaining competency in high-risk work environments across Australia’s energy, mining, and resource sectors. It supports compliance with regulatory obligations in surface and underground coal mines, metalliferous operations, and quarrying sites, where current CPR certification and rescue capability near live electrical equipment maybe required.
This course is designed for individuals currently employed in operational or support roles at mine sites where they may be required to perform a rescue from a live low voltage (LV) electrical panel. It is specifically suited to workers operating in high-risk environments where interaction with live electrical equipment may occur during activities such as maintenance, servicing, or installation.
Units of competency covered in this program include"
HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation are required to be refreshed every year from date of issue.
UETDRRF004 Perform a rescue from a live LV panel are required to be refreshed every 2 years from date of issue.
Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) are not available for this refresher training due to industry regulations.
Entry Requirements
Before commencing this refresher, students must demonstrate they have completed the units within the past 2 years.
Students must submit verifiable evidence that they have already completed HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel. Acceptable evidence includes:
